Fast and Dirty Eddy

Post by _sock puppet »

I see that Edward Kimball (son of SWK) has a 'testimony' posted at Mormon Scholars Testify (DCP's effort to assure the lesser intelligent TBMs not to worry their pretty little heads; after all, there are believing brainiaks).

Edward I Kimball wrote:“Dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.” (Ether 12:6)

As a teenager, I liked to speculate about religion with my parents. My general attitude about religion was skeptical; I felt it the responsibility of others to build my faith.

One day, when I was nearly seventeen, I was leaning over the counter in the kitchen reading the LDS Church News, which ran a cartoon strip that day depicting events from the Book of Ether in the Book of Mormon. I read the passage, “Dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.” That admonition struck a particularly responsive chord and I realized that I had things backward. Instead of demanding proof first, this scripture was telling me I should try to exercise faith first; the assurance would then come after my faith had been tried. One effect of reading this scripture was to make me generally more optimistic. It was the start of a conscious shift of direction, a willingness to try first and expect proof later.

The Book of Mormon itself stands for me as a persuasive artifact, because of the many witnesses who speak to the physical presence of the gold plates; the short time in which it was translated; and particularly the chiastic form in which much of the Book of Mormon is cast. This and the power with which it speaks to my soul all lead me to believe the book is everything Joseph Smith said it was.

The irony of this is that Fast and Dirty Eddy, as he was called in hushed tones because of some of the tricks he pulled on his students, taught EVIDENCE at BYU Law School. I can only imagine the failing marks he'd have given a law student who penned his final exam with such faulty, BS 'reasoning'.

Faith is the brainwash...... it's so obvious. Now if and when any kind of evidence shows up to confirm Mormonism, you can bet they'll be all over that! No wonder they fart faith, there is no evidence to make use of.......

No they won't be 'all over it'. The Church has been given two copies of my Apocalrock Book. One is in the Church Historical Library, and I mailed another to that guy who teaches the Quorum of the Twelve. His name escapes me but he is a Seventy. The crickets have returned and since the Art of God condemns the LDS Church they would have to weigh the costs to benefits about championing the proof of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, and Judeo/Christian scripture.

Greatest cost: Admitting who's da man.

You need to go prophesy to them through a seer stone....... they have heard of one of those, though, admittedly, it's been quite a few years previous to our day......

One is in the Church Historical Library...

Which they promptly filed appropriately and was then recycled into something far more useful, like bathroom tissue.
Riding on a speeding train; trapped inside a revolving door;
Lost in the riddle of a quatrain; Stuck in an elevator between floors.
One focal point in a random world can change your direction:
One step where events converge may alter your perception.

In the 2010 UNESCO list of world heritage sites, Mount Danxia was recorded as a natural World Heritage Site as part of China's Danxia landform.
Choyo Chagas is Chairman of the Big Four, the ruler of the planet from "The Bull's Hour" ( Russian: Час Быка), a social science fiction novel written by Soviet author and paleontologist Ivan Yefremov in 1968.
Six months after its publication Soviet authorities banned the book and attempted to remove it from libraries and bookshops.

Now no one could possibly MISUNDERSTAND what those are could they, unlike the vague and mysterious subjective Apocalyptosillyrock kinda thingy, right? It's obvious that the rocks here are at least 6,000 years old, obviously having to be YOUNGER than Adam and Eve, otherwise what's the point of the symbolism and give away? Yeah? God wouldn't make something non-useful and incomprehensible would He? He had to wait until the most important reason for his creation occurred, and then do some rock sculpture.....

Saying so means what? Nothing. You got access to some of the photos. Why not fairly show them subjectively 'silly'. It is art ya know. A little subjectivity is good. It was intended to be hidden in plain sight. But once you see it. There it remains......forever. And you got to have enough integrity left to admit the impossible. So many sightings upon the same rock face, as per light of day, and time of year, and angle of sight and including living trees is greater than man's comprehension.

There really were dinosaurs! The great and holy DinoRock has revealed it... If you are holy, and of God, you will see it too!

And if you are really, specially holy, you may see two!

There ought to be a stupid threshold enforced here.
