John, my old professor. I owe him so much, and yet... I can't support his move in this direction. He is a complicated guy, and I know he took plenty of knocks in his personal life that may have influenced these decisions. Really, it is a shame he did not stick with Roman history. I was waiting for him to write a biography of Caesar or Augustus. I am sure that that, too, would have suffered from methodological problems, but it would have been so much better than what ended up happening, which I truly wish had been avoided. I kinda like Jack Welch, but the damage he has inadvertently caused. I can't really blame him for this, but then I almost can't refrain from blaming him.

John 1:
1 In the beginning was the gospel preached through the Son. And the gospel was the word, and the word was with the Son, and the Son was with God, and the Son was of God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made which was made. 4 In him was the gospel, and the gospel was the life, and the life was the light of men; 5 And the light shineth in the world, and the world perceiveth it not.
Why do you like this best? Because it changes scripture to fit Mormon doctrine?
Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.

Yeah just make up anything, who cares if any evidence exists of its reality?

The question answers itself. But its a great question to ask out in the open.

I really DO like Jack Welch also. However....... sometimes his apologetics really do get crossed wires. Heck I still really like Hugh Nibley, but I just cannot go blindly accepting everything he ever wrote like I used to. Dialogue is important and necessary, but it degenerates into so much personal acrimony so speedily.....

1 Corinthians 2:
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
