The last time I know that any apostle allowed an unregulated interview was the "I am not a dodo" fiasco with Holland. They claim to be apostles but act like businessmen.

Why doesn't the prophet ever refer to himself in the first person as a prophet? Actually, is there is a single modern example of any "prophet, seer, revelator" referring to himself as a prophet, seer, or revelator?

Whenever I ask TBMs this question I get a puzzled look, which then tends to be followed by a lightbulb kind of expression as if they've never considered the idea. With stories like Bednar's "I am scripture" I keep thinking eventually one of them will actually say "I am a prophet," but I have yet to come across a single example. What is the most recent example anybody can find?
This kind of gives me goosebumps..I have never thought of this..I value humility but if you were a prophet talking to God..you would want people to know wouldn't you?

Why does he need to say, “I am a prophet,” when at every General Conference he is proposed and sustained by all Church members as Prophet, Seer, and Revelator to the Church?

khm khm
Point of view. The point of view of a child. We all knew it once but we’ve traveled so far away from it that it’s difficult to get back there again. I remember seeing my own grandson Matthew when he must have been, I suppose, about two and a half. He did not know I was there. I was watching him from the top of the stairs. He walked very carefully down the stairs. It was a new achievement and he was proud of it, but still somewhat scared. He was muttering to himself, saying: "This is Matthew going down stairs. This is Matthew. Matthew is going down stairs."

"This is Matthew going down stairs."

I wonder if we all start life thinking of ourselves, as soon as we can think of ourselves at all, as a separate person, as it were, from the one observing. Did I say to myself once, "This is Agatha in her party sash going down to the dining room?"

It is as though the body in which we have found our spirit lodged is at first strange to us. An entity, we know its name, we are on terms with it, but are not as yet identified fully with it. "We are Agatha going for a walk, Matthew going down stairs."

We see ourselves rather than feel ourselves.
And then one day the next stage of life happens. Suddenly it is no longer, "This is Matthew going down stairs." Suddenly it has become "I am going down stairs." The achievement of "I" is the first step in the progress of a personal life.

I'm on Reddit, of course, and I start thinking about how these "apostles" with such an earth-shattering claim (serious, they claim to speak with/to/for Jesus Christ) literally never get a hardball question. They have armed guards. They have private entrances to the COB, secure offices and even when they do go to conferences it's filled with yes-men and anyone with a tough question has to overcome massive pressure and hope for a 10-minute Q&A.

I could be wrong, but could the answer be that their performance is related to their remuneration?

Why do football coaches get paid more than presidents? Just some "little flecks" of capitalism I guess. Or should I say Capitalism?

It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

A prophet or healer is only a prophet or miracle worker WHEN the power thereof falls upon him from God. No man is a....power-of-god-slinger... who can just do what he wants.

And when the power of God truly manifests there is no hiding it.

Draw then your own conclusions as to why the power of God is never manifest.

I could not resist the manifestations of The Apocalrock. I was content with six or seven sightings. Then that number doubled most astoundingly. Then doubled again, and again. Who am I to resist God? It has not ended yet.
