I'm about ready to make a major life decision

O.K., fer reals now. I am seriously going to quit worrying so much about doing a "Mormon Watch" and attempting to refute what they write. Sure I won't leave it entirely alone, but........

What's the point? It doesn't build me. It certainly isn't what I want to do for the rest of my life. I have other areas I want to explore and learn about. I have about run my course with Mormonism, and simply taking their defenses down has become all but boring to me actually. I am astounded how absurdly simple it has become.

And, I am not necessarily building my own spirituality by doing so. Now I am still trying to figure out if there is such a thing as a spirituality, so it's going to be an interesting morphing I am going to do I suspect. Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know........ things are good, and I'm ready to climb another mountain of learning something new, interesting, and worth my time. I am going to start blogging with it also. I truly don't see the point of writing the book I am writing. It's all been already said. I have no credentials and nothing extra to add really. Mormonism lost in its defense of the Book of Abraham. The Egyptologists have steadily and always won the arguments because the evidence is truly ALL on their side in this thing.

I love ya all, but I'm gonna go start blogging.

And, no that does not mean I am leaving this place, but my posts and the information I give is going to start being different. I am tired of carping at others. I want to build up and enjoy life. If Mormonism gives people that, more power to em! With idiot in as our President now, and with all the killings and hate being spewed, it's time to build up and love. It's time to kill the stupidity and deadness of our world with something alive and vibrant, and hopeful, and loving.

I'm being selfish here, but please don't forget us on the board. You have proved yourself to be a great guy and a fascinating read. I would miss your posts. I don't always respond to them, but I always read them.

I think you have well proven that spirituality is NOT found in learning. Forsaking the world.......and the knowledge thereof.....is the only path to God. Worldly knowledge purposefully is nothing but a tangled knot of confusion. God commands a clean slate to write his serenity upon. He is not about competing with the world for our attention. Every advancement requires sacrifice. That is a proof of faith.

Set your papers aside -- take a break and smell some roses. Perhaps consider shortening your work and using less material. Keep the footnotes to a minimum and use the best quotes that supply the biggest bang or that make the most impact in what you are stressing. Remember, there really isn't anything complicated about explaining the controversy of the Book of Abraham! It's the apologists who try to make things complicated and sow seeds of discord. Present your material in a simple and logical format. Point by point -- make your case, and the truth will shine boldly and independent of anyone's endorsement or approval. No one needs credentials to just tell it like it is. Truth always has a good ring to it and most people recognize a good ring when they hear it.

Natural progression, u don't need to refute the church, rather it is up to the church to prove the church is what it purports.

To me, the church is already debunked. Now, if I talk about the inaccuracies of Mormonism it is usually when making a joke about the church.
