Portraits of LDS Jesus are fake
Portraits of LDS Jesus are fake
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is guilty of constantly publishing photos and pictures of an idealized image of what they want to see in a portrait of Jesus Christ. It's always what they want and prefer -- a style and image that suits the LDS house fancy. The church is incapable of representing an image of an honest or realistic picture of what Christ may have actually looked like. Just the fantasy versions that spins their faith however they want to dream it.
Everything about Mormonism is so fake and so made up. The photos they use for Jesus in church magazines or periodicals are nothing but propaganda. The image of the LDS Jesus is simply too unbelievable for honest and objective thinkers that have any degree of intelligence.

They're fake? Of course they're fake. Do you think Christ sat for a portrait session or posed for a quick photo op? What do you want - a selfie? As for what Christ may actually have looked like. Only those who have seen him can say for sure. We can make assumptions based on the area of the world and culture he was born into. But they are still assumptions to a large degree.
Thy mind, O man! if thou wilt lead a soul unto salvation, must stretch as high as the utmost heavens, and search into and contemplate the darkest abyss, and the broad expanse of eternity—thou must commune with God. - Joseph Smith

I'm glad to hear you admit that they are indeed fake. Nothing realistic about them. Just the best possible feel-good portraits in order to stir up faith and emotion. Such is the blue eyed starry looking Jesus dressed in perfectly clean robes.
Intelligent assumptions have been made more recently about what Jesus may have actually looked like and these are based on science. Somehow, though, I get the impression the LDS church would never use such images for their own purposes. Mormons are totally into image and how things look rather than how things really are or were. Totally fake.
Will the real Jesus please stand up:

I have a theory, Jesus is really a being from another dimension. For the sake of argument, let’s say he’s from the 5th dimension.
5D Jesus comes to visit 3D Joe Smith. Joe Smith had never met an Israelite before and therefore didn’t know what an Israelite would typically look like. Instead, Joe Smith can only perceive 5D Jesus in Joe Smiths 3D world. So how does 3D Joe Smith describe 5D Jesus? As a corporate man looking for golden treasure because that’s what Joe Smith understood 5D Jesus to represent. See, problem solved as to why Jesus looks like a corporate attorney.

That’s the idealized image of what they wish Jesus looks like.

I imagine people from different racial, ethnic, and religious groups like to see their heroes as similar to themselves.

In the face of madness, rationality has no power - Xiao Wang, US historiographer, 2287 AD.
Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

LOL
About Joseph Smith.. How do you think his persona was influenced by being the storyteller since childhood? Mastering the art of going pale, changing his voice, and mesmerizing his audience.. How do you think he was influenced by keeping secrets and lying for his wife and the church members for decades?

Mr Penguin,
I cannot count the times I have laughed outloud from your posts.
You truly are a treasure.
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."
