Inspired by discussions occurring in other threads, here is anecdotal evidence in support of the OP.

Each of these ants serves as a host to
Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, a fungus that manipulates and feeds off of ant brains, ultimately sprouting out of their heads which makes them look a bit like ill-drawn unicorns.
The ant in the upper image is a theist, and believes that his suffering should be seen in a larger context in which it must certainly serve some higher purpose. He is understandably somewhat less enthusiastic about 'intelligent design' arguments. He would like to play sports, if only the fungus would allow it. Instead, he likes to spend his time mulling over the mind/body/fungus problem.
The ant in the lower image is dead. As he is incapable of holding any beliefs whatsoever he must be classified as a weak atheist. He does not play sports, which just goes to show.
