Atheists Don't Play Sports?

Post by _Ceeboo »

Or are they just not very good?

"All Glory To God"

As is often the case during these types of interviews, a few Eagles players and the coach made mention of God during the postgame interview. A few weeks back, a few Alabama players did the same. Truth be told, this is fairly common in these interviews.

It makes me wonder, aren't any of these people educated? Don't they understand science? Don't they read books?

Really weird!

(tongue firmly in cheek)

Peace,

Maybe imagining a super parent in the sky gives that extra something that takes these athletes to the top?

Football players have taken too many hits to the helmet. Don't they realize God's favorite sport is baseball?? Hell, he started his own book with the words, "In the big inning..."

Atheists can't handle (or choose not to) the repeated concussions.

Inspired by discussions occurring in other threads, here is anecdotal evidence in support of the OP.ImageEach of these ants serves as a host to Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, a fungus that manipulates and feeds off of ant brains, ultimately sprouting out of their heads which makes them look a bit like ill-drawn unicorns.

The ant in the upper image is a theist, and believes that his suffering should be seen in a larger context in which it must certainly serve some higher purpose. He is understandably somewhat less enthusiastic about 'intelligent design' arguments. He would like to play sports, if only the fungus would allow it. Instead, he likes to spend his time mulling over the mind/body/fungus problem.

The ant in the lower image is dead. As he is incapable of holding any beliefs whatsoever he must be classified as a weak atheist. He does not play sports, which just goes to show.

There are no atheists in Foxborough.
