“Hastening The Work” has become the “Youth Battalion” ....

Post by _GameOver »

This is a new gimmick to get the youth to seek converts. It looks like “Hastening The Work” wasn’t so successful. Now it’s become a new propaganda program to get the youth to seek and find “The Lost Tribes of Israel”. In other words, another missionary effort.

It’s just a corporate sales rally from the so-called Prophet.

The LDS church is going out of their way to make life miserable for the youth. The old cronies that run the church are going to do everything to make their youth suffer and pledge their lives to the cult. With that said, the youth of the church won't be sticking around. They'll walk and abandon the cause for common sense and personal freedom.

Mormonism is fast becoming a museum piece. It's been utterly proven false at every level and people with common sense are not going to be joining the American run Cult. It's over, baby, gameover. Who wants to be a Mormon? Yuck!

Even at my most TBM, Bishopric and High Council days, I would not wish the Church on my worst enemy, much less any non-member friends.
Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

Did you serve a mission?

Youth Battalion?

Surely you jest!

ETA: Sadly, you do not jest. The last thing kids in this country need is an even more obviously paramilitary style organization to belong to.

This reminds me of an old Salamander Society fake news item:

Now, in an earth-shattering reversal of policy, the Church has issued a "Proclamation Against the Family" in which Church leaders, in an effort to cultivate a truly righteous generation of youth, have instructed all LDS Church members around the globe to send their children to Church headquarters in Salt Lake City when they reach 8 years old, the Mormon "age of accountability."

Asked to comment, Gordon B. Hinckley, president of the Church, replied, "The Last Days are upon us. I think Latter-day Saints will see the wisdom of entrusting to us their youth. If they are not safe from evil influences in the hallowed halls of Brigham Young University, heaven only knows how their parents fail them in their upbringing."

Corroborating the new revelation, Dan Petersen, of the Church-financed Foundation for Ancient Research and Mormon Studies, claims that his scholars have unearthed an ancient Arabic recension of an Early Christian text in which Jesus, quoting Plato, commands his Church to raise a generation of philosopher-kings, "Nor let the parents raise their children, but let the leaders of the congregation bring them up in righteousness."

Dan LeFevre, official church spokesman, says the new children's training center (the CTC) should be referred to as "the Hinckley Youth" in all media.
