I'm pretty sure that this is the "someone contacted my professors" incident that Juliann refers to:
http://www.mormondiscussions.com/phpBB3 ... 77&start=0If you read, you'll see that the professors were contacted for clarification of their positions, not to rat out something Juliann said or did on the message board. Initially nothing was said about Juliann, and she only came up indirectly when one of them asked for a link to the message board.
In contrast, I know of two cases wherein a well-known Mormon apologist either threatened to contact someone's university professors/officials over their online criticisms of Mormons/Mormonism, or
did contact university professors/officials for the same.
The first case was public, so I can share it: Blake Ostler threatened to contact a Greek Orthodox PhD student's board of regents over his dismissive blog comments on Mormonism. See
here. I do not know whether Blake ever made good on his threat.
The second is not public and the person in question does not want it shared, so I cannot name names, but a well-known LDS apologist (no doubt someone whom Juliann likes and respects) wrote to the department head of an undergraduate student who had criticized him/her online.
I regard both of these as worse cases of RL harassment than what Juliann experienced (as represented in the thread linked above), which had less to do with her being a student of said professors and more to do with her use of their work.
