I read that post and thought, “Good grief! You take all those precautions, but then you think it’s just fine for a man to be alone behind closed doors with a child or youth and ask them questions aboit masturbation and sex?” How does that make sense?????
I thought he was just mocking the precautions taken by institutions that care for children. Was he serious about all that? If so, that's just bizarre. But then, he (and I think moinmoin) did also argue in that thread that just willy-nilly calling the police at the drop of a hat when bishops become aware of a criminal offense can complicate things, therefore it is a good thing the Mormon help line is there to stop them from doing that without first considering how to minimize the effect on lds church headquarters.
