The Irrational World of Brian Hales' Polygamy (I & II & III)
Re: The Irrational World of Brian Hales' Polygamy (Pt. I)
Rosebud,
I knew you were being facetious. And yes, if they believed that dead "prophet's" words carried any weight (they only do when they agree with them), they would technically be in apostasy. But they won't admit it, they have others do their dirty work for them.
The whole system is corrupt to the core and it is all about money and image for them. They are living in a fantasy world, and the walls are closing in.

I've met Brian, he's charming in person and not at all what you would expect. But what he did to Jeremy and others, is deplorable to me. I respond, because he is trying to shape the narrative and it's simply wrong and has to be addressed.

If you really think the New And Everlasting Covenant means polygmay, then you need to read section 132 again.

Yes, and thank you. You are right that someone needs to respond in the way you are and you are the right person (people) to do it. Your response helps make it possible for people like me to just laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.
He does seem like he would be very charming in person. I'm not surprised. I suppose that's also part of of the hilarity of all of it for me. I imagine him charmingly talking to his poor wife (and who knows what other women, regardless of whether or not he ever gets beyond talk) about all this.
Sometimes the most charming ones are the most dangerous.
Anyway.... please keep up the good work.

Did you mean the new & everlasting covenant of marriage?
I don't need to, but perhaps you do. Like all other Mormon apologists you back up what you say... with nothing. Perhaps though, you need to explain why all those "prophets" thought so... But I doubt you will. But go and scour the FAIRMORMON sites and Hales and get back to me.

Why don’t you demonstrate how D&C 132 supports the idea that polygamy isn’t the New and Everlasting covenenant?

We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')
