All that said, I think if change is going to occur it has to happen through legal challenges which will affect the Church's bottom line. Until LDS families start suing and winning more cases, not just settlements, I don't see the Church changing this policy and I think Bishop Roulette will always apply, and we'll continue to have more victims. Once this kerfuffle blows over it'll be back to business as usual.

That said, I still admire their energy and any scrutiny that can be brought to the Church and how it handles its business, is still a positive.

He's been pretty active on /r/exmormon for quitea while now. His own words to a letter he sent to his Stake President:

"My two issues are common consent and the exclusion policy for children of gay couples."

If you go through his blog, go through his reddit history /u/invisibles_cubit, and listen to his Dehlin interview you'll get a clear picture of his Nov Policy activism which is tied up with his 'common consent' activism.

That led me to think about Rosebud's comments in context of his feeling powerless in the Church, and becoming an activist that opposes SLC HQ policies. Protect the Children is the morphing or perhaps growth of his activism

For the record I agree with the board's misandrist that Rosebud finds a way to shoehorn her feelings about Mormon and ex-Mormon men into every thread, but that doesn't mean she dien't have a point or couldn't notice a trend.

And I'm telling you Jersey Girl to go educate yourself. I gave you the resources I have, and if you're skeptical or ignorant of the issue educate yourself. I'm not going to go through and find, copy, and paste every single comment he's made on the Nov Policy. The conversation can move fwd once you get learnt on Sam Young beyond Protect the Children.

I believe this was his first foray into Bishops' worthiness interviews:

He eventually ramped up his activism on this particular issue (godblesshim) once he saw the responses he was getting. Prior to this his activism mainly consisted of voting opposed at church to protest various issues, but with a primary focus on the Nov Policy. If the reader reads his public postings it's a very interesting study of an activist's mind.
