He brought up toilets in a document he intended to distribute widely. He brought the toilets up in order to elicit an emotional response from his public audience. I'm against writing documents addressed to certain parties with the intention of publicly distributing the document in order to shame the parties to whom the document was addressed. You can read more about my opinion on this matter here: http://archive.sltrib.com/article.php?i ... type=CMSID

C'mon.... toilets?

Over-the-top

I agree. The letter would have sounded much more professional if he would have omiited the "toilet" reference.

Final Testimony

Today is September 2, 2018. My excommunication tribunal is now 1 week away on the 9th. I plan to present a vigorous defense. Never-the-less, I don’t think there is a snowball’s chance in hell that I will emerge with my membership intact.

I’ll be stripped of my bishopric, priesthood, saving ordinances and blessings. I will be ripped from spending eternity with my family. I’ll be consigned to an everlasting location with no future interaction with God, Jesus or my loved ones.

As an apostate, I am considered worse than murderers, rapists and pedophiles. I will be condemned to spend the eternities in Outer Darkness.

What a gracious Mormon God we have. How blessed we are that He has placed His power of judgment in the hands of men. The power to tear a dad away from his family forevermore and damn him to the darkest corner of the universe. A destination worse than hell.

Today, I attended my last Fast & Testimony meeting as a member. I chose to share my final testimony with my ward family. You can listen to it or read it below.

Testimony

4 years ago, at age 61, my faith started to transition….into a beautiful faith in Jesus Christ.

In 1842, 2 years before his death, Joseph Smith penned The Articles of Faith. In the early days of the Church, a vote was held to canonize these 13 tenets of our religion as scripture.

The 4th one says this: ‘We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.” Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ!! Reading through the entire list of 13 articles, there are no instructions whatsoever to place our faith anywhere else. Just in Jesus Christ.

President Nelson recently re-announced to the world what the proper, God-given name of our church is: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It makes me happy that he reinforced this.

The Church of Jesus Christ. The only being in whom our scriptures instruct us to have faith. He is now the only being in whom I place my faith.

What gorgeous teachings he has given us. The good Samaritan. The parable of feeding the hungry, clothing the naked. Reaching out to the marginalized, the vulnerable. In his words, “The Least of these.” Protecting children with his threat of physical violence to any who would harm them. And his poignant summary of the commandments….love, just love.

What a glorious example he has set for us to follow. He lived his parables. He was the Samaritan who reached out to heal while the priesthood leaders ignored the wounded on the side of the road. He sat with, supped with, talked with those on the margins of society. He was criticized for doing so by the leaders of the church. He was not restrained in speaking openly in opposition. As a result, he paid the price with his own life.

Beautiful teachings. Stunning example. He asks us to follow him. It’s not as easy as it sounds.

I love the teachings and example of Christ. I now have 65 years of lived experience to KNOW that his way is a good and fulfilling way to live life.

This is likely the last time that I will bear testimony in the church that I love. I have been summoned by my friends to a church court next Sunday. I will likely be excommunicated by my friends for standing up and speaking out to protect our children.

I don’t want to lose my membership. But, I will go there with comfort that I am trying my darnedest to follow the teachings and example of my Savior. He was tried, convicted and executed. In the end, that worked out for Him and all the rest of us.

I share this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Aftermath

As I left the podium, the bishop stood. We hugged. It was sweet. I whispered in his ear, “I love you.”

Several women shed tears.

Two couples called me a hero.

Three men invited me to lunch on different days this week.

Several expressed love.

Several expressed support.

All in all it was a good day for a final testimony.

I hope someone tells Sam about the Sanctorian Loophole. It should give Sam great comfort to know that he will inherit the Celestial Kingdom and all God has to offer. All Sam needs to do is accept the Gospel in the Spirit World.

That's it. Nothing else.

Statements like this:

"As an apostate, I am considered worse than murderers, rapists and pedophiles. I will be condemned to spend the eternities in Outer Darkness."

It shows an extreme misunderstanding and a false representation of Ziontologist doctrine. Especially considering that he has said in an interview that he didn't really feel guided by the Spirit as a Bishop and was just doing his best all alone as he went along. In no book of any Ziontologist doctrine does a person like that qualify as a Son of Perdition. This is 100% self-promoting showmanship.

This statement reveals his utter unbelief in Ziontology as a vessel of God's will:

"[Jesus] sat with, supped with, talked with those on the margins of society. He was criticized for doing so by the leaders of the church. He was not restrained in speaking openly in opposition. As a result, he paid the price with his own life."

How? Well, according to Ziontologist doctrine, Jesus spoke in opposition to a church that had been in apostasy for hundreds of years. By constantly comparing himself to Christ, and Ziontology to the Jewish leaders of Christ's day, Sam Young is basically saying, "they are all leaders of an apostate church, and I am the one who speaks for God (whom I semi-secretly don't believe in) who will curse them. If they don't listen to me, they are not apostles of Christ (me, because I am the one who really knows Christ's will).

This dude has been in open apostasy for a very long time, and well before he developed an interest in worthiness interviews. I mean, I'm cool with him snapping people out of the Ziontologist mental fog, but let's not call this man a victim. He knows exactly what he's doing.

The horror! I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone!

Oh, wait. Living through child abuse is worse.

Sam'll be okay. He's got money. He's got a cause. He's got an audience. He'll even go to the same place everybody else does after he dies.

You seriously can't make this stuff up. Only in Mormonism.......

**Sickened**

Last night I had one of those 'dark nights of the soul.' I became physically ill at the response of my friends when asking them to be witnesses at my excommunication tribunal.

Now I realize that it's not fair to ask them to face my fate by sticking up for me.

By today, I am feeling much better. I've decided not to ask for any witnesses. Hopefully it will avoid the symptoms of sickness and depression that I struggled with last night. It will definitely avoid putting my friends in a vulnerable situation.

I'll face my accusers all alone....accompanied by 700 long-voiceless witnesses who have finally been given a voice. I plan to print a book of Sacred Stories of Sacred Children for each member of the tribunal.

At the moment, there are 664 stories with another 35 left to be transferred. If you would like your story to be a witness at my excommunication trial, this would be the time to submit. The deadline for inclusion is Thursday, Sept 6 at midnight.

To the current 700, thank you for taking back your voice and actively being a huge part of protecting future generations of children. Your courage to stand up in beautiful vulnerability is bringing about a marvelous work and a wonder.

Better.... a project about giving voice to the voiceless. He'll have more evidence and support than any of them did at the times they faced the interviews alone. He's off base when he makes this all about himself. He's still playing the abandoned victim card here when the reality is that he knowingly and intentionally brought this on himself. But at least he's creating a product that matters.

I wonder if he'll be able to compile the stories into a book that isn't all about him. The false victim for the victims show is getting very old.

He already has.

Your ignorance of the man and the movement you are criticizing is astounding.
