The arguments of a man who knows he is beat while not even seeing he likes to play God as well. It's just that you cannot make God into a sensible one.

They might still serve as an excellent cover for Charles Darwin's manuscript of The Origin of the Species.
I'm led to believe the brass plates were instrumental in stopping the tents flying away in a strong wind.

Religious conservatism principally apply the teachings of particular religions to politics, sometimes by merely proclaiming the value of those teachings, at other times by having those teachings influence laws.[33]
In most democracies, political conservatism seeks to uphold traditional family structures and social values. Religious conservatives typically oppose abortion, homosexual behavior, drug use[34] and sexual activity outside of marriage. In some cases, conservative values are grounded in religious beliefs and some conservatives seek to increase the role of religion in public life.
So, to fit the description of "moderate Mormon" you'd need to be opposed to religious conservatism, and therefore opposed to the Mormon Church's positions on homosexual behaviour, drug use, and sex outside marriage. It's good to know that mentalgymnast is in open and public opposition to the Church on these matters.

Asking questions is "playing god"? Holy crap, Weasel! You really have drunk the Kool Aide...
Fanatic all the way, won't even really engage or address the questions. The Brass Plates served their purpose? For what? Promoting murder? Thing is, they didn't need them, they had God. So no one should question when he orders murder? Just make a joke of it?
You're the joke.
