Of course, for the faithful this is just evidence of persecution linked to his divine mission.

How about a list of all the Arrest Warrants Joseph Smith had out on him at the time he lost the gunfight at the jail? We know he was dodging a number of them. Nauvoo Charter protected him in the City - as some who tried to enforce them found out.

Just don't know how many he was dodging. Escaped prisoner, fugitive from justice and a number of others, most likely.

Wow! I guess Joseph wasn't a strong believer in Article of Faith #12:

"12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law."
"I'm on paid sabbatical from BYU in exchange for my promise to use this time to finish two books."

Wow, what a valuable resource in understanding Smith's confrontations with the legal system. As a faithful Mormon I was always told that every charge against Smith was trumped up and that the prophet was simply a victim of persecution because he was restoring the gospel and Satan was hardening the hearts of those who confronted Smith for whatever acts he was accused of.

I've come to realize just how dishonest my former church really was. I've come to know that the church was founded on lies and that leaders from every generation have simply sought to cover up the lies and keep information away from the common members. The leaders today are no better. They are terrible men who have been groomed and conditioned to assume the Mormon leadership which is certainly one of the most corrupt institutions on the earth. Mormonism is a rotten church. I'm so glad to have freed myself from that horrible bondage that once held me captive.

Yes, Joseph Smith was a liar and a crook. The writing is on the wall for the church. I will enjoy watching the church continue to erode and finally collapse under the weight of its on sin. I will continue to mock the temple rituals and give a shout out to Mike Norton and his courageous work in exposing the cult's secrets. If it wasn't for Mike Norton there wouldn't be documentation and videos like we now have. Anyone and everyone can watch those videos and know for a certainly that this is exactly what happens in the temple. There is no question about it. There is nothing to deny. Just watch the video! If it wasn't for the videos you can bet that Mormon apologists would just spin things and attempt to get the public to believe that temple ordinance are nothing like the anti-Mormons describe. But we got the goods. We got the videos and more is to come!
