You're right. I'm sure there is a reason like removing "Mormon" or some technical glitch for why it's down. This isn't the first time some TBM over there had a melt down over characterization of some debate where the mopologist looked bad. Looking bad is going to happen when one defends Mormonism as Kishkumen said. I'm sure this is why the brethren don't take part in these debates and have questions carefully selected when they appear in anything that is even remotely close to the kind of discussion that occurred between Mr. Bennett and Mr. Reel. The brethren don't want to look silly.

It is back up and it does not look like they have changed or deleted anything. Probably just technical difficulties.

https://www.fairmormon.org/blog/2019/02 ... -my-groundSo it’s been a few days since Bill Reel published our twelve hours of recorded conversations we had for his Mormon Discussions podcast. And since then, I’ve been wading through the comments and finding that the consensus seems to be that in our Historic Podcast Battle for Church Trueness, Bill won handily, and I, and the Church, lost.
That assessment comes from the regular audience for Bill Reel’s podcast, which I’d be willing to bet includes far more disaffected or former church members than it does active Latter-day Saints. I expected their reaction to what I said to be interpreted through a far more skeptical lens than my own, and it doesn’t surprise me to see them giving the victory to “their guy” instead of me. Even so, I don’t think their interpretation is a fair or objective assessment of the discussion that took place.
I did not know Bill Reel prior to these podcasts, but a mutual friend thought it would be fun to see the two of us go “toe to toe” about the response I’d written to the CES Letter. My reply, perhaps naïvely, was that I was happy to speak to anyone about it, but I wasn’t interested in a debate so much as a discussion. Bill agreed to that, and we had the first of six early-morning recording sessions a few weeks ago. I thought the exchanges were respectful; I thought Bill gave me ample opportunity to represent my position, and I was overall pleased with the conversation as a whole.
Then he goes on to quote posts made on the MD&D board with comments and responses.
I haven't listened to the podcasts, but I'd be interested in hearing from those who have with an analysis of these comments vs. what Bill and others have said about the interview/discussion.
Also, Calm over on MD&D REALLY dislikes Bill Reel. Anyone know what happened between him and FAIR? She's going after Bill requesting numerous CFR's, timestamps and is the one who posted Jim's blog post too.
Bill bent over backwards to give up ground, concede points and allow Bennett to feel on equal footing. Time after time Bill would ask him if he felt he was being given a fair opportunity to make his points and each and every time Bennett would say Yes.
So to now do this is both bizarre and not based on anything I heard Bennett say

I think he probably got a bad report from his side of the fence and so he's walking it back. I do remember him saying that he enjoyed the podcast and pretty much was having a good time. Do you have a time stamp to back up what you're saying above? Don't knock yourself out trying top find one but you know if this was MAD they would be demanding that you supply the reference.

What would you say are the 2 biggest concessions Jim made? What were the 2 biggest you felt you made?
* as an outside observer the top 15 men of the Church give no impression of being anything more than 15 older men behind the times and making serious mistakes
* They are completely wrong on the LGBT issue
* He wouldn't let his daughter work in the Smith Home knowing what he does
* The book of Abraham in a vacuum is deeply in favor of the critics conclusion
* priesthood blessing to an outside observer have no more power to heal than the healing rituals of any other system
* Joseph lacked integrity and fidelity with Emma
* The Church teaches us to harm others at times (prop 8, miracle of forgiveness, LGBT policies)
And there are many others but this is a start
