Not being critical- you do great work , but why not id yourself to this guy? He migft have been fishing and once you told him who you are, he could clam up and say he confirmed the id of RFM; but on the other hand, he was breaking "rules" because you did not meet him face to face- so you could have been Santa Claus on the other end of of the line.
So what was your thinking- did you impulsively turn off the conversation because of fear?
Did you think of trading information like have him give the DOB of the person he has as RFM and you confirm or deny. That could have led to more information being exchanged.
Why don't you care what the SMCC has on you- yes, they got most of it from your internet podcasts but is it all negative- and what is the bottom line on RFM- Little to Medium threat to the church or Highly damaging threat to the church. You probably would like to know whether you will be on the next enemies chart with John Dehlin and Denver Snuffer wouldn't you?

To be fair I don't think you're going to get this kind of specific information from a church authority.

It's possible that RFM could've gotten some basic information on what was in his file, but I just don't believe it was going to be much especially given that it was over the phone.

Personally I would just love to see how much is in each 'targets' file, but again you'll never get that kind of access unless you're authority - and even if you get some information you'll never know how much they're holding back.

ETA: I listened to the podcast while working today and it's a fun one - especially hearing Holland state the purpose of the SCMC was to track polygamy... would love to know how he can say that with a straight face.

Funny you should mention the enemies chart.

I just this week received word from a leak inside the most recent church leadership training conference; the one held the week before general conference.

Another list was shown.

Guess who is at the top?

Actually, I am not certain RFM is at the very top.

All I can say, based on my source, is that I am toward the top.

The important thing was that he deliberatively used three "p"s to do it.

"To protect predatory polygamists."

He actually said it wrong in the clip.

He meant to say, "To protect against predatory polygamists."

He was obviously rattled.

The interviewer was kind enough to correct it for him when he reframed the question.

Why are you still podcasting and not using your real name? Lol at calling an adult to talk relatively important stuff and not using your real name. Get over it and get yourself out there and use your real name.

I broadcast in realms and I can’t imagine using a fake name. It’s one thing for a message board for it’s another thing to podcast and call church leaders as Radio Free Mormon.

I am not being mean, I am just saying to embrace who you are and stop hiding. You will feel so much better. Be brave, do it today.

To confirm that Russ was high sparrow of the SCMC, Denver Snuffer said that Nelson instructed Snuffer's SP to discipline him.

How better to hide your counsel, than to conceal it from the very sheep that are being shorn? By the people who sit in positions of authority, claiming they have the right to come to the stake that I lived in, as a member of the quorum of the 12, and hand my membership record to the stake president and insist that there be a disciplinary council held against me. The church seeks deep to hide their councils. I participated in that conspiracy when I agreed I would conceal that Elder Russell M. Nelson of the quorum of the 12 came and called my new stake president and handed to him my membership record, instructing him that I must be disciplined. And to his credit, president Hunt took 18 months fighting that decision, because he knew I was an innocent man, before he submitted. Before relenting President Hunt was called in repeatedly, and finally “instructed” using the church Handbook of Instructions telling him he had no choice but to hold a disciplinary council. I will no longer participate in concealing the councils kept from the public! It is wrong! president Hunt should not do it. Elder Russell Nelson should not do it. None of them should do it! They should come clean and admit my excommunication was only from the top, although it required the stake to relent and impose their sentence.
