The LDS Church will be having Political Activity Specialists that will assist church members to better understand and participate in the civic process,” according to church spokesman Doug Andersen. That can range from helping members register as Republicans, request mail-in ballots, attend the GOP party caucus meetings and find their polling places.

If I were the Church, I would emphasize all attention on rebranding and less on politics.

The Mormons should take a page from the Muslim activists and get more of their ideologs elected and to push their agenda hard. Though I don't believe they have much of a chance, unlike the Muslims who have alliances with the Socialist and progressives.

Members of Even the Church of Jesus Christ invariably vote their religion while in a hypnotic trance. To confirm such a trance, ask them if they have a "burning in their bosom" while on the way to their polling place. Additional clues might include glowing eyes or even the smell of milk and cookies.
Hope that helps.

Just the job for the oldsters who were called to be active in fighting the ERA(Equal Rights Amendment) decades ago.
Maybe they will instruct members now about not wearing Garments when they do lobbying for their pet candidates and projects? Maybe teach them clever "non member phrases and words" to use so they won't be identified as Mormon?
A lot of old timers who remember this stuff.

At least they're being honest about their regious/political agenda. I predict some sort of identifying something to be worn on the clothing ... so the members can know who has the answers to why voting conservative is wonderful yet again ... definitely not fascist.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has asked its lay leaders in Utah to assign grassroots “specialists” to help members get more involved in civic affairs — from seeing that they are registered to vote to informing them of party caucuses and telling them about community meetings.
Why is the Church only appointing specialists to encourage members to get more involved in civic affairs in Utah? Does member involvement in civic affairs in every other part of this so-called global Church not matter to the leadership?
