I am not saying that I think that MD would have aggressed against him or his family, or that I have any knowledge of violence behaviors on her part except alleged physical harm to herself. I am saying that he allowed for and prepared for that possibility (including potentially making false rape allegations against him) in publishing the recording and in his warnings to her.
There is some detail from his second video (still viewable) that I want to pull out possibly for the purpose of this thread or simply for my own interest and understanding.
People tend to focus on the allegations of sexual abuse and the Bishop case, and Mike's personality. There's more going on here than that.
The problem with Norton's video is not that he expressed fear and tried to protect himself. He was verbally abusive. He threatened physical violence. That is garbage behavior and does horrible damage to the other sexual abuse victims that he says he cares about.

I don't know exactly who you mean.
But, speaking for myself, Norton's video has re-traumatized my close friends who are already treading water, coping with the ongoing harm from the church as abuse victims who were not supported by their local leaders.

It’s unfortunate that Mike Norton, a fellow victim of abuse, could not deal with the situation more calmly and responsibly.

Bill Reel and I recorded a podcast this morning dealing with the recent developments in the McKenna Denson case. With any luck, it should be ready to go up tonight or tomorrow.
