Midgley paused briefly, but the attacks are back. Notice this is 5 specific attacks in less than 20 minutes, always rudely addressing him is the 3rd person. What an embarrassment for Peterson's blog:

Just like he has master both science in general and some specific science, without publishing a single essay. That is how it is when one knows all the answers before one even know a single question. As I have indicated, I feel sorrow for gemli.

It seems that gemli's command of the plausible alternative explanation is as weak as his command of both history and science. I feel sorry for gemli. I pity those who insist on painting themselves into corners, and have to resort to a silly quip in an effort to avoid the problem they have created for themselves.

...I have paid the price to do just that. Poor gemli has not lifted a finger except to type still another bit of his dogmatic religion.

...My point is that poor gemli simply has made exactly no effort to accomplish much of anything of genuine worth. Instead, he seem disinterested in anything but posting thousands of time the essentially the few elements of his dogmatic religion.

Poor gemli does not see how odd his remarks are to Latter-day Saints.
...Poor gemli seems to think that he knows everything about anything worth knowing, both in the intellectual world, including the Book of Mormon without giving it and the vast literature on is even a casual glance. He brushes aside the Book of Mormon without even glancing at its cover. This mindless dogmatism is matched by his indifference to such things as actually seeing the Vasa in Stockholm or reading about it. Or using the Tube to get to know London. One who is not at all interested in actually visiting different places in the world, or reading about what is out there, can make all kinds of bald assertions about things about which he knows very little if not exactly nothing.
I feel sorry for gemli. This is why I describe him as poor gemli.
Bolding by me, to note how utterly despicable a comment that is to make about a commenter online, when he does not know much about this person's life at all, except that he is not lds and he disagrees with many of Midgley's points. (And of course, any minor information gemli has given is mocked and derided endlessly and irrelevantly by Midgley.)
Midgley has indicated before that he seems to believe that being LDS is the dividing point between worth and worthlessness, in his mind, of fellow human beings. That's a sad legacy for the church in which I was raised.
