Oh, AND the MM trio has accused at least three men of marital infidelity and/or sexual assault on flimsy-to-nonexistent evidence. (The one piece of actual evidence they had on John Dehlin, they took personal credit for uncovering when, in fact, the information had been published online years before by Kate Kelly.)

They portrayed RFM as seeing no problem with burglarizing the temple to film pornography in it, based on a microexpression they captured in a still frame and by twisting a veiled off-color joke way out of context.

So I amend that: They're mean-spirited, they straight-up lie, AND they're dimwits.

The only reason I'd prefer to see a different opponent on Team TBM is because it would be a whole lot more interesting to watch someone more evenly matched to RFM.

Having an equal number on both sides is the smartest and only fair way to go about this.

Well, it's traditional in this type of debate to only have two opponents facing off at one time. But this isn't a formal competitive debate. The parties can agree to whatever they're willing to agree to.

RFM understands this and knows if he goes into a debate by himself against three opponents on one team he'll win the sympathy vote because it's going to look like three young guys picking on a senior citizen. He's thought this out exactly like any good lawyer should and the three young Mormons have fallen into his trap.

This isn't being televised for the general public. It's only going to be watched by a (relatively) small audience who already pretty much know which team they're on. There's no "sympathy vote" for RFM to win by playing some kind of manipulative 3-D chess to win over public opinion by playing himself off as an overpowered old man.

And it's not like RFM is a frail octogenarian. All four of them have rather brash personalities.

We watched Kwaku go on RFM and Bill Reel's show and claim that the absurd and implausible is MORE common, and therefore easier to believe, than the predictable and the explainable. We don't "think" they're complete idiots; they ARE complete idiots.

Also, I'm not an atheist. I'm just not a Mormon anymore.

So let me see if I understand this correctly. You think, actually, a bunch of you guys think, the three guys that make up Midnight Mormons are "complete idiots" for acting and defending Mormonism exactly like you guys would've when you were in your twenties and still TBM? Gee whiz!!! RFM actually audio recorded himself teaching lessons when he was a young and dumb TBM preaching the gospel to other TBMs. But somehow now that you're not TBM and have reached a state of "wokeness" outside Mormonism, the defenders of Mormonism are stuck in the Stone age because a bunch of geriatric white men have podcast and use their platform to bash a religion they once held dear and defended no differently than the three young men we're talking about?
