In case anyone is in need of purging their stomachs, I offer this vomit inducing praise from one of Peterson's fanboys:

I today's world with people who comment on blog posts simply to disagree with writer, with no other contribution, I find Brother Peterson's attempts to tamp down emotions both refreshing and socially valuable. I realize that you may have made a comment or two that does not fall within the boundaries that I have set, but you do not use your real name, nor do you allow others to review your comments.

Brother Peterson's comments are almost always the opposite of yours. He is almost always temperate and gives critics a great deal of freedom to comment even when the make personal attacks as you just have. If Brother Peterson has occasionally made comments that are acerbic particularly when pulled out of context, it means that he is not perfect, but at least he tries.

Chewbarker, you should try to be more like Daniel Peterson.

I don't know of any famous ex-Mormon figure who is worshiped in this way. Certainly not John Dehlin. Not RFM.

Something about the Mormon psyche lends itself to this kind of behavior. Probably because every Sunday they ingest the message that their religion is under attack, and they need to circle the wagons.

No surprise. Midgley is not a spiritual man, is not a Latter Day Saint, and is certainly not a heavy weight intellectual in a fight for truth. He does his own thing, under the guise of pretending to be a Latter Day Saint, but what he loves the most is to insult, belittle, demean, and intimidate, and mock others. Somehow or other that feeds his ego and puffs him up helping him imagine he is growing in prowess and Godly abilities for that soon to be future Godly day of being crowned with the intellectual life time achievement award in heaven or something. There is literally nothing spiritual inside the man whatever. Of course, I could same the same thing for his head as well as his heart. He just doesn't impress me in any manner these days. Nor his big brother protector Daniel who allows Midgley to poke out his head from under his skirt yell a swear word and stick out his tongue then scurry back in between Dan's legs under his skirt to hide in safety.
