Adam Ford:
At BYU, the "religious mission is inextricably bound up in the doctrine of Jesus Christ", they say.
So they demanded, and received, from the Federal Government an exemption to Title IX in order to mandate short hair for all BYU men because "religious tenets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints prohibit compliance with Section 86.31(b)(5) with regard to hair length requirements." Absurd.
Of course, the current investigation of BYU is in regards to the ongoing discrimination against non-heterosexual students, which is so much bigger than the hair issue. But the absurdity of the insistence that BYU must have an exemption from Federal law because men must have short hair because it is "bound up in the doctrine of Jesus Christ" cannot be passed unnoted. Literally, every single depiction of Christ used by the LDS Church shows Christ with long hair. If the situation wasn't so evil, it would be high comedy. It is important to note the stunning hypocrisy among the virtue-signaling Pharisees sitting on their billions.

Anyone have an associated revelation for this doctrine? Doctrine is now whatever post hoc rationalization the church needs to argue a position in court.

Dress Code for IBM Employees, 1965.
The only exception to this code is that brown suits are allowed for Church members living in rural counties.
