Excellent Obit. Thanks for sharing it. Wish I had gotten to know him better.

I was looking through Bob's posts at MDDB and came across this comment. In discussing apologists appealing to the younger generation, bluebell made a comment about Kwaku, to which Bob replied:consiglieri wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 6:32 pmI guess I am the lucky one then.

So his feelings about Cardon weren't entirely secret. The problem is not Kwaku but Cardon Ellis, who is extremely thin in Mormon apologia and intensely committed to insults.
I fully support the proposition that no General Authority should ever again speak at a FAIR conference, nor should anybody affiliated with BYU or Interpreter.

“Big blowhard” were Bob’s words, I think.cinepro wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 11:38 pmI was looking through Bob's posts at MDDB and came across this comment. Seems they lived in the same ward.
Bob wanted me to wipe the debate floor with Cardon.
Strange as it may sound.
Re: Bob Crockett Has Passed Away
Wiping the floor with guys who came wearing "kick me" bulletproof vests was not a monumental task, but you ended up doing Bob proud. Bob can rest easy knowing that Cardon came off as an idiot. ByTW, I wanted to thank you for putting Bob at ease when he called into Mormonism Live.

Rollo Tomasi here. Been gone a long time and forgot my old password, etc., so I had to re-register. Just wanted to drop a short note on the passing of Bob Crockett. We never agreed on anything, and some years ago we were real dicks toward each other on this BB. A lot of arguments about Mountain Meadows and other topics (can’t remember anymore). But I never held any real animosity toward Bob. He was a very smart guy and acted like the trial lawyer he was. I do mourn his passing. RIP, good sir, and I pray for your family’s comfort.
