THIS is on my things to do list, for sure. I am convinced that JOSEPH SMITH incorporated many aspects and elements of his novel from his understanding of everyday life and circumstances of his time. I hope Dan's video offers some fresh perspective to demonstrate this and provide more pieces for arrangement in order to help see the BIG picture.

JOSEPH SMITH imagined himself to be many of the characters of the Book of Mormon as he mused over those characters and weaved himself into the plots and stories. I believe that Smith fantasized about his greatness and really when it comes down to it, the Book of Mormon is all about the secret fantasies of Joseph Smith!

Anyway, that's what I think, if anyone cares. And I do want to know what Vogel thinks because he's put himself into a position to know things and figure things out. I do believe things are enfolding in ways that will uncover mysteries of early Mormonism in the mind of Joseph Smith. Masonry in the Book of Mormon is NOT something that I've spent any time researching so I'm very intrigued to find out what Vogel is uncovering.
