Inspirational Words To Live By LDS Style

We understand where we came from, why we're here, and where we'll go after this life is over. We understand that we are the offspring of our heavenly father, who loves us. We know we want to go back to him once we've left this world. We understand what we do and don't do here in mortality is critical. We also know that if we fall short, our Savior has given us the priceless gift of the atonement, and that if we reform our lives and hearts and use the atonement power, our sins and failings will be forgiven and forgotten.

Heavenly Father will help you find whatever you're looking for in your life. Grow in your relationship with Heaven Father. Find greater meaning and joy in your life. Look for peace and guidance. The Savior will strengthen you, make you whole again. It's never too late.

Nice of you to share.

Next please: ah yes, it's the Jehovah's Witnesses, then the Scientologists. Take a number, and join the queue.

Jeff, you are kind to share your faith and show concern for our eternality. I admire your courage and compassion to come to a forum like Discuss Mormonism to share your faith to former LDS and the few never-LDS on the board. I suppose there could be a few devout LDS on the discussion board as well. For the most part, most of the discussion board participants will never return to TCoJCoLDS.

In my faith tradition, I understand things very differently than what TCoJCoLDS teaches. I understand that I am a created being. My purpose is to love God and enjoy him forever, and I will one day live eternally with Heavenly Father. Heavenly Father is my reward. Indeed, God loves us even more than we can fathom. Because God has given me the gift of faith, through unmerited favor (God's grace), to trust in Jesus Christ as the propitiation for my sin, I am justified before God. At the moment that I trusted (God's gift) in the work of Christ alone, I was justified, my sins forgiven, to be remembered more. My sins past, present, and future are now and forever forgiven. It is a free gift. Justification is not something one has to continually work to attain. Christ alone earned our justification. Jesus alone is worthy. One day Jesus will come back and my dead body will be made alive again and raised to join my spirit, and I will be at home with Heavenly Father forever. While I am still in this fleshly body, I will continue to sin until the day this body dies. This is why you will likely see me struggle with sin as I post on the discussion board. The above is available to all who will trust in Christ's work alone.

Very intermittently and over a number of years, I have worked to mark my Book of Mormon and Bible with the following verses to explain what I'm talking about, using a book titled The Christian Companion to The Triple Combination as a guide, and in an effort to become all things to all people (1 Cor. 9:22), that maybe even one may trust in Christ alone. Perhaps the following Book of Mormon and Bible verses will help you understand the teachings of my faith tradition. For me, marking my Book of Mormon and Bible are a work in progress. Please read the passages below and tell me what you think.

I have no doubts that our newest visitors; High Spy, Liz, and Fred are sincere in the views they express here, I'm pretty sure you can chalk up Jeff to trolling. ;) just letting people know before they get too invested.

I've often had that thought from the beginning, when Atlantic Mike began posting and the new peeps registered and started posting. May be a way to use up bandwidth if that is still a thing, or to push non-faith promoting threads further down into oblivion. We will find out when/if they come back to use the replies as proof of the waywardness of former LDS, or to bash the board. Who knows, however, maybe my investment may benefit someone else who may read it.

I notice a distinct lack of anything specific to Mormonism here. I’m inclined to agree, since in my opinion almost any other Christian religion will do a much better job of making you into a Christian than Mormonism.

It is full of Mormonism, in my opinion. If not Mormonism specifically, it is a doctrine of works.

Gordon didn’t stand up for the truth when he said “I don’t know that we teach that.”
