NO ONE actually *needs* a church in order for God to teach them. That is just beyond silly.

Except for humble followers of Christ that desire to make and keep covenants that lead towards God. Granted, that will not include EVERYONE.

You don’t have to believe it, but the church acts as the reservoir/conduit between heaven and earth to make this possible.

A lot of folks believe they can save themselves from sin and error on their own without God or His church. More power to them. I think that to a certain degree they can find fulfillment and purpose on their own. You have, I expect.

We are free to choose.

Then you need to keep pumping out those YouTube videos and get the word out.

The church would look at the work that you are doing as “opposition in all things”. In order to make a real choice viable alternatives need to be made available. You play an important part in providing the dynamics which make this possible.

Along with RFM, Dehlin, and others.

Real alternatives, real choices.

There seems to be, at least in the Judaeo-Christian tradition, a practice of God communicating through prophets and apostles. Some had problems with that, others didn’t.

Much like our day.

But you are right, I wouldn’t…and don’t…follow that same practice with my children. We LOVE visiting with our children!
