Would a single pot hold all the content? Five people defecating on a daily basis are going to produce at least 1 turd each including several cups of pee. Therefore, a three day period in which they are shut in will fill the toilet with at least 15 turds and 3 gallons or more of pee and waste. Then, the toilet pot has to be transported to the door and dumped into the ocean. The pot has to be properly rinsed. And don't fall into the ocean while cleaning it above deck!

What a nightmare.
You should pose this question to the Interpreter. Possibly they have an answer or could assign a BYU intern to formulate an answer which they could peer review by the Friday edition.
And... and... don't forget this gives them time to find some Egyptian parallels, perhaps with the Ship of Ra, the sky ship that sails across the sky following the sun's path... or if they look into the ancient Chinese they might find something with the Chinese junks, or perhaps something out of the Land Down Under, Australian... oh WAIT! HOLD THE PHONES! The Polynesians! Of course! The New Zealanders! They built ships! Lou Midgley can save the day here, but only if he does valid linguistic scholarship. Perhaps he can get Brian Stubbs to give him a hand...

Interpreter might like to run some Bayes' theorem through their little calculations and see how stewing poo gas fermenting in pee water vaporizes in the interior of the craft while displacing the oxygen -- much like a nasty diaper pale that hits you in the face when you open the lid. Consider also how small children on board soil themselves and spread pee and poo all over whatever they touch. The nasty stench of being enclosed within the confines of a giant toilet bouncing about at sea while being blown about by fierce winds is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, including Trump and Putin. Who could be so cruel to inflict such misery on human kind? The answer: Book of Mormon God!

QUESTION: How did the Jaredites wash their clothes while at sea?

What about the laundry? Even ancient people had to launder their clothes and wipe the nasty sweat from their essential areas lest they get covered with all manner of infectious afflictions. Vermin from the animals would certainly find their way into hair, armpits, and itchy crotches!

They would have to wait for good weather when the winds die down and then wash clothes in the open ocean while stooping about on the edge of the barge. But how did they dry the clothes? They would need to set them out on a clothes line, would they not? Wet clothes can't dry out naturally unless they are venting in the open air and the moisture therein is allowed to quickly evaporate. Otherwise the clothes will turn to mildew and create more stench on board.

So, perhaps the ladies at Interpreter might like to tell us how the Jaredites did their laundry? How does one do laundry in such conditions while floating about on a barge for 344 days?

For those of you with doubts about the Jaredite barges, it’s time to doubt your doubts:

They weren't floating, the barge was being towed by a di-lithium crystal.

Philo I appreciate the preparation you put into these videos, your enthusiasm, and especially the way you lead up to big reveals in the same way you build up masterful checkmates.

Borrowing from the Bible and a teaching given just prior in Mormon found its way into the Jaredite barge narrative: "they were tossed upon the waves of the sea before the wind"

Matt14:24 wrote:But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary
Mormon 5:18 wrote:as a vessel is tossed about upon the waves, without sail or anchor

The impossible Jaredite voyage expressed from the imagination of Joseph Smith will never be met with scientific approval from nonMormon specialists who are flatly able to prove the narrative is bogus and utter nonsense:
  • they were many times buried in the depths of the sea, because of the mountain waves which broke upon them
  • they were buried in the deep
  • bring them forth again upon the top of the waters

Dr. W is one such specialist who is able to dismiss the Jaredite voyage as a physical impossibility in which Joseph Smith was unable to properly comprehend when he told his whale of a tale sailor story. Imagine mountain waves crashing upon primitive made barges while being tossed about on the open sea! The story is ridiculous. Imagine barges being submerged or buried in the deep and then floating upward above the water line!

The story is preposterous and anyone who believes it really happened is a retard with half a brain.

Mormon apologists are just stupid.

Suppose a barge was submerged under 3 feet of seawater. The weight on an area of just one square yard would be 1,728 pounds! Suppose the mountain waves covered the barge and buried in the deep with 9 feet of water! The weight is now 5,184 pounds of pressure not including centrifugal force.

Do you suppose a primitive door hatch would burst?

[ ] YES Because science is science
[ ] NO Because Heavenly Father won't allow it
