Why would a church be selling meeting houses while skyrocketing temple construction?

Something seems off…
Why would a real estate company be selling off some off some of its land bank?

Craig, are these properties in prime residential development areas?
I would call this area of Ogden Prime Apartment residential area. The church already owns and operates apartments surrounding the Temple area...this area is several blocks away but still the church may be turning one profit producing building into yet another profit producing buildings

Are the buildings single story structures on land that can be developed with a mid-rise or high-rise?

High Rises...multi 3-5 story buildings

It would be crazy not to sell the land and tear down the chapels. Right?

The RLDS Church selling one of its old chapels made for a delightful Italian restaurant in downtown SLC.

Invest Church sales money into warp nacelle technology for the future Starship Nauvoo.
