For our benefit, could you remind us of what user rule number four is?

Thanks malkie!

Number 4:
Do not "derail" threads or otherwise insert commentary that has nothing to do with a thread's opening post.
Hmm…

Just what I thought. Shades of DOJ.

Two tiered justice system at play right before our eyes.

Rule number four is probably the most blatantly broken rule on this board. Certain posters are more likely to get nailed to the wall.

Was CNN called? 🙄

Fence Sitter's pun was pretty good, though. :D
It wasn't just pretty good. It was the best thing about the thread.

I think you will find that the mods don't object to a bit of not very relevant comment on side-issues. What they (quite rightly in my view) crack down on in relation to UR4 is posters with a propensity to divert threads into simply talking about themselves.

Could you be one of those? Why yes, reviewing my recollections, I rather think you are.

But now you have a whole thread to play in - what's not to like? Enjoy!

I acted in response to a report. What I observed was a thread that had gotten itself back on track, only to see it derailed again. As you aren’t arguing that that the posts I moved weren’t a derail, I’m not seeing a reason to take further action.

I somewhat expected a Merrick Garland answer.

It really doesn’t matter to me whether or not you take further action RI. I’m arguing that there is unequal treatment. The thread in question had been all over the place. My posts were no more of a derail than posts made by there throughout that thread and many others. You know that. You were simply cow towing to a poster that you were fearful of offending.

That’s my take.

Be that as it may, I’m not going to take it any further than I already have.

This is FBI/DOJ shadowy behind the scenes stuff. My feeling is that this goes on and has gone on somewhat regularly on this board. Proof? No. Gut feeling based on experience? Yes.

I’m not going to name names and give examples of where experience has demonstrated this as far as I’m concerned. Enough said for now.

Two tiered justice.

MG

You mean, a factual one that follows the rules of the established system?

Yep, that's right.

You mean the one that protects the rights of people who are under investigation by not revealing confidential information and compromising an ongoing investigation?
Two tiered justice.
Surely you are not comparing the even-handed moderation of this board with the fair application of the law to prevent Trump from behaving like someone who is above the law? You?

You're one confusing dude. One can't tell whether you think you got a fair shake or not.

Its wonderful that MG is back so we can have a nice long thread all about him and his grievances and his gripes about other posters.

I am really enjoying the fun!
