How long/intensely did you believe in the historicity of the Book of Mormon?

A great percentage [of the Book of Mormon] is just reworked Bible passages and some outright copying. Add in "it came to pass" a bunch of times and some mound builder myth and voila.

Also, there was a long time in between the end of the rock and the hat show and when they sent it to be published.

How many alterations were made before the manuscript was sent to the printer? What was the length of time between those changes to the original manuscript and the final printer’s manuscript?

Oliver Cowdery and Hyrum Smith could have helped with the final version during that time.

You and your fellow apologists act like it would have been impossible to write the Book of Mormon without some miracle. The thing is that people write books all the time. Looking at it skeptically as one should with any miraculous claim, the Book of Mormon simply doesn't stand up as anything but a 19th century invention. Also, it doesn't help your cause that there isn't any evidence that the story actually happened.
