Early Modern English is certainly humorous as in so silly a theory it is humorous that they still push it forward. Joseph Smith was obviously trying to speak in a biblical manner early on to fool his dupes. He had a copy of the 1611 Bible and was undoubtedly exposed to the Great War and other biblical sounding works.
What some will do to justify unsupported beliefs ....
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.

The simplest answers are too simple for intelligent people with a will to believe. Deliberately broken epistemologies may not be logical, but they can make one feel morally superior.
The appearance of Early Modern English (Early Modern English) in the original English dictation of the Book of Mormon. Once again, though, neither the early Latter-day Saints nor anybody else noticed for several decades. And, also once again, it becomes difficult to explain away. It’s very strange for believers, but, for those who seek a naturalistic explanation for the appearance of the Book of Mormon in the late 1820s, it’s virtually impossible.
lol. "virtually impossible" when there are billions of books that have appeared, sometimes using strange language.

Well, I guess the Savior not curing idiots is remarkably prescient. Who knew He’d need ghost committees and scryers to bring about the glorious work of the Book of Mormon?

Hugh Nibley claimed he bumped into Adolf Hitler, Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Gertrude Stein, and the Grand Duke Vladimir Romanoff. Dishonesty is baked into Mormonism.
If I had extra money on hand, I would buy these books. Heck, I am curious. Just to see what these guys have done would be something of a treat. I think scryers and ghost committees are great fun!

explore it, and to infuse it with meaning for those alive today.”—Margaret Atwood
He’s not taken seriously by non-Mormon scholars...
Is he even taken seriously by Mormon scholars? That's a serious question. It would seem the reason Interpreter now funds his research is because BYU decided it wasn't worth paying for.

Kyler couldn’t get even a single BYU math professor to sign off on his Bayesian nonsense.
