Only a handful of us here on the forum left Mormonism over intellectual issues. And we project our reasons for leaving on all the majority who leave because keeping church covenants was just too much of an inconvenience for them.

It seems Salt Lake City has mayors who no longer believe. Utah is one of the 10 most gerrymandered states in the US. A slice of SLC is added to a GOP inclined rural area.
