I am singularly not at all impressed with John Gee nor his interviewer who asked the most idiotic questions and raised the outdated issues which have all been answered, refuted, and destroyed. Here I wipe them out on their Red Herring argument opening their discussion. Idiots all.

Thank you Shulem, that is very kind. I am trying to get the information out and straight, and clear.

I just find it so incredibly sad that he used his training in Egyptology for such disgusting immoral purposes. It seemed to pain his former mentor tremendously. Did Gee really think that he would get away with blatant lies and misinformation in this era of information accessibility? What did Gee even accomplish by whoring himself out to the church and leaving behind such a shameful legacy?
One of Gee's former co-authors, fellow professors at BYU, and editor of the Joseph Smith Papers project, Brian Hauglid, is also critical of Gee's interpretations of the Joseph Smith Papyri. In 2018, Hauglid wrote, "I no longer agree with Gee or Mulhestein. I find their apologetic "scholarship" on the Book of Abraham abhorrent."
Was it really worth it, John?
Facsimile translations vs. missing roll translations

I don't recall Gee ever pointing out the differences between Smith's translations of hieroglyphic text in Facsimiles 2 & 3 and how that might compare to his translations of the text on the so-called missing roll. I've pointed out that it would be more of the same -- unconventional readings that are totally bogus. To my knowledge, Gee has never come up with an apologetic excuse that makes sense of how the Facsimiles can be so wrong and the missing roll be so right. The fact of the matter is the writing on the Facsimiles isn't what Smith said it was and so why should we expect the writing on the missing roll be any different? The answer is, I don't. Smith was wrong on ALL accounts. Simple as that.

Here's to hoping that you will raise the issue of a very important element of the entire discussion of the Book of Abraham which is the difference between
3000 and 2300.
Oh how I would have loved to roast young RFM when he was an apologist in Texas. Can you imagine him taking Shulem on? He still has not released a recording of his apologetics on the Book of Abraham, assuming there is one.

Right, that is good. You will make history because this has probably never been done before in a podcast wherein the host (you) knows the ins and out of the Book of Abraham and all the fraud associated with it. But this takes it to a higher level. Apologists avoid it at all cost. Have you ever heard Nibley or Gee discuss their reasons for not pointing out the obvious differences between the dating?
You're going to make history! This is just the sort of stuff John Gee doesn't want to hear and perhaps it's the last straw for him. I'm looking forward to you presenting this information more so than anything you've done yet. Believe me, this is the big one when it comes to the Book of Abraham. It draws certain lines wherein nobody can mistake. It's pure math. It forces the faithful to make a choice. They can't have both.
Anyway, take your time. Do it right.
