oh my.
Oh look, you manage to say something even worse.
Wow. This is unbelievable. You are just determined to outdo yourself today.

You are a bigot. Through and through. This entire post of yours is sickening.
Well, the mask dropped a long time ago, but I’d say he just threw it in the trash since there’s no coming back from this thread.

You and at least a couple of others are grossly misunderstanding what I said and the fairly obvious…I thought…intent of what I was saying. Apparently there are some really thick skulls here. I surely hope not everyone is as dense as the provocateurs.

This is getting old and it’s getting wearisome.

Nice to have a support system that will tag right along with you for every whacko accusation and falsity you throw out there isn’t it?

What would that be like…

You COULD take a stab at defining civil society before you go.
Here is one from an online dictionary:

1. (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) the elements such as freedom of speech, an independent judiciary, etc, that make up a democratic society.
Ok. So how do you see this supporting the claims shared in the DesNews article? Are Gen Z a threat to an independent judiciary? More than religious folk wanting to see courts packed with judges who send down religion-based rulings and want to see their religious beliefs represented by the courts based on faith claims?
I would just add to that, anything and everything that makes a democracy work without anarchy being the result. People getting along, following the laws, self control, treating each other humanely, etc.
What does that even mean? Civil society is defined by any and everything that makes a democracy with without anarchy being the result? That's not a definition. That's a hope and change answer that means everything and nothing. I think this either needs refined or removed if it's to provide any sense of clarity.

Well, cowboys and cowgirls, it’s about time for me to saddle up again and hit the trail. This thread has been a real eye opener for me. More so than any other I’ve participated in. I came to some important and somewhat obvious realizations that hadn’t hit me as strongly until this time around in the saddle.

May the bluebird of happiness not poop on your head.

OK…let’s see where they go with that one…

Happy trails to you, until we meet again laddies and lasses.

Stay well.

Until next time.

Ok. When you peek back in remember there is a pin in the question of how the OP supports calling Gen Z a threat to civil society once one investigates what civil society actually means.

And you posted some really, really nasty racist comments that you would apologize for if you had any integrity at all, as well as repeatedly showing your bigotry in other areas. I'm thinking active Mormons might prefer you NOT represent them here.

Well, that was … something.

I feel like I need a debrief. Or a beer.

Probably both.

MG: Lo! I have arrived on the shores of this curse-ed land in the name of righteousness and Ronald of Reagan to do just battle against all infidels and the unholy!

Board: Dude? Are you sure you got the right address? cuz the Renn Faire is...

MG: Silence, fiends! I herewith plant my banner in the blackened earth and call all who are not already forsaken to rally to my just cause! For it is from the mouth of the Lord of Carlson that this truth has been declared: All who do not tithe nor maketh the green jello salad are enemies of order and must be passive-aggressively told they shalt dwell in everlasting fire!

Board: Um, first, that's pretty condescending and second, you just stepped into a pool of quicksand and your "banner" is sinking. You might want to look down at the ground you're standing on. I don't think it's sa...

MG: INFIDEL! I see your shriven heart and bile-filled words for what they are because I AM THE GOOD ONE HERE! So your attempt to dismiss me is to no avail! Your refusal to rally at my banner proved you are most foul!

Board: Again, you are really judgmental and offensive when you talk to people that way. And your banner just slipped fully under. So...

MG: Your failure to hold the banner aloft is telling! Surely it proves you favor pillage and destruction as declared by Ronald de Santos to be the true sign of the infidel!

Board: Oh, yeah, I heard about that guy. He seems to think people are stupid enough to vote for him if he can convince them anyone who doesn't believe...oh...

MG: Take thine last breath, villain, and be smitten down by mine blessed blade!

Board: Ya know, I'd think about it but you're probably not going anywhere fast with that sandy foundation swallowing you up like that. I mean, it's practically at your waist. Sure you don't want a hand? Just look down and you'll see this situation isn't what you're making it out to be.

MG: Ughh, my purposes here are fulfilled! I came here to reconnoiter behind enemy lines and have truly and fairly assessed all that dwell here to be verily more vile and left of wing than I even suspected! I shall depart to mine own land and tell of my exploits among the disciples of Fox News! The bards shalt sing of my glorious righteous victory this day!

Board: WTF?

Sounds about right.
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.

That your system of control produces child sexual predators and protects them?

Image
Last known status: January 2023: violated probation

Elwood Haws, a.k.a. E.Bruce Haws, was a longtime employee and vice president of Deseret Trust, an LDS church-owned trust company in Utah.

In 2007, Haws received the highest award given by the LDS Business College – the Distinguished Alumnus Award. He graduated from there in 1973.

On June 23, 2020, Haws was charged with 13 second degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (related to possession of child pornography).

E. Bruce Haws viewed child pornography for between 234 and 416 total hours over a 3-4 year span, by his own admission
Did this LDS man confess to his Bishop or some other Mormon authority, and was subsequently protected by the Mormon church? More details:

https://floodlit.org/a/a585/#case-summary

So, tell me again how civil society has been maintained under the auspices of a conservative world view? This man is a predator that spent decades victimizing young girls. One would think a Mormon such as MG would be more concerned about cleaning his own house of worship before taking on the foibles of an entire Generation or two.
