What Happened to Mormon Talk?

I miss Carson, Bret and Brock warning us about the evils of soy. Does anyone know what happened to the show? Hopefully someday it will be back.

For various reasons Carson had to bring it to an end. He told me that his upcoming book "PEG: Pornography, Excessive Eating, and Gaming" is on hiatus for the time being, perhaps permanently.
Mysteriously, he brought back the show for a one-off encore episode about six months ago. With no advanced notice, I of course missed it.

It’s a slow morning and I only mustered up a grin of wonder… until I got to ventriloquist dolls. Which I never knew were communication devices masquerading as entertainment but which actually swing wide open satan’s door for demonic infestation. And apparently leprosy.
(The final shot of the raggedy Ann doll locked in a glass cupboard explained a few things however. This kid snuck into one too many teen horror movies in his wayward youth.)

We became parents in the 21st century and thus enjoyed a blessing that later generations will share but not appreciate. The musical toys with which we had to live actually played decent music, not just horrible squeaks. Our older daughter had a doll that “sang” a little song, to “la-la” syllables, when you squeezed it. One time a virtuoso pianist asked the audience to provide a short theme upon which he would improvise a fugue, and the La-La doll’s song worked out great. I’m inclined to stand up for dolls that make sounds.

I know exactly what you mean about blessings to later generations of parents.
In 1999, my family member, living in a very remote part of Alaska, had a medical emergency and suddenly I had to make plans to travel from the East Coast to Anchorage with no other options but to take with me a ridiculously rambunctious 16 month old whose favorite pastime was crashing into things. I mean that literally. Back then, there were fewer limitations on carryons, i was pregnant myself and a bit limited, so I planned my strategy meticulously. I carried on a gigantic, military duffle bag, completely packed full of the (extremely bulky) toys of the day that I desperately hoped would keep my kid occupied on the plane rides, and less likely to spend the interminably lengthy flights careening up and down the aisles crashing into anything and everything while giggling like a possessed maniac. (yes, I love my kid. But he was ...well, let's just say incorrigible about the crashing thing.) The businessman sitting next to me expressed quite a bit of wonder at the number of things that kept coming out of my duffle, much like Mary Poppins' bottomless carpet bag.
Now, well into the 21st Century, I gaze with fascination on parents who actually take toddlers to restaurants. Although I don't in general agree with using ipads as pacifiers for children, I would have sold my soul for a toy like that on those Alaska Airline flights.
