Check it out. I was interviewed on Mormon Book Reviews about my adventures with Mormonism. I talk about my perception of the LDS Church in the Philippines and the conversation I had with LDS missionaries that changed my life.

I enjoyed Tim's interview, but obviously I am biased.

Many good conversations were had on the LDS&EC blog, many good friendships were made.

Hi, Tim. I enjoyed the interview. Welcome to the discussion board. This place is my online home and these are the people I love; my extended family.

The Lord used Mormonism to bring me out of complacency a couple of decades ago. I once said that I didn’t want to learn what Mormonism teaches, but that was not God’s plan for my life. My plan wasn’t His plan. Thankfully, He is sovereign.

Similar, I think, to what you said, some LDS missionaries knocked on my door, and our conversation was rushed. The conversation ended with them saying, “That’s what we believe too.” The very moment the door closed, I was convicted to never again to have a rushed conversation, and also to learn what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches from Latter-day Saints. I can still visualize the door and the light coming through the crack getting smaller until the door was closed.

That moment soon came when I saw two bicycles chained to a stop sign. There I stood, once again, convicted; “What will you do with Christmas?” and “Count the cost.” It is a long story I won’t go into. God showed me how much he loves me by showing me how much He loves others. I can look back and see now how he orchestrated things in my life, and sometime in the lives of others, to bring me/us to where we are today.

I think Acts 17:26-27 says it best regarding His purpose for orchestrating the events in our lives.

And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.
