But I was wondering how many young LDS adults have two wives these days? Or does it mean Oaks has a second wife who is a real scourge.

Procreation within marriages between a man and wives is the Principle of Mormonism, although now that is superseded by obedience to God's earthly authorities and tithing to Ensign Peak Advisors.
