Interesting point. But do you know where the Japanese acquired their morality? Was it the same place the Assyrians got theirs? Or the Nazis? I mean, things can swing from one direction or another, and the bulk of humans are highly persuadible by whoever is in change. What morality are you in favor of if you had your choice? But more importantly, how would your enforce it? Or just anarchy? (That's a morality too, but it never lasts long.)

Most people view the modern social contract as a pretty good system. Seems like a fairly solid foundation to me. The concept that your rights end where my nose begins has universal appeal.

But like you say, charismatic leaders can convince you that the definition or rights and nose can be whatever they need it to be.

1) Cutting to the chase, probably Bushido. But like anyone else, it's a matter of environment, group dynamics, and outside contact. But, yeah, look up Bushido and let us know what you think.

You are conditioned as a child by this religion to believe that you're never good enough, that you have to constantly be praying asking for forgiveness and repenting, constantly serving, always accepting callings and magnifying those callings because your everyday life just doesn't demand enough of your time, especially with a career, family and children, that Jesus expects you to do this and that all the time, you can't eat, drink or wear this or that, etc., etc., etc., yada, yada, yada. Ad nauseum. Once you realize the religion is a sham concocted by a con-man, it's like having the weight of the world off your shoulders and is very freeing!
