Here is the most recent post on the site:
Cody, WY residents working to preserve our neighborhoods in accordance with the Cody Master Plan.
9/5/2023 UPDATE:
For the following reasons and more, we appreciate the City of Cody’s decision to withhold the building permit for the LDS temple, and we have requested that they continue to do so to allow the District Court to decide the outcome:
-The LDS corporation has been forcing the temple into a Cody neighborhood by filing three separate lawsuits against the City of Cody (the 3rd lawsuit was filed last Friday), intimidating some of our citizens and P&Z board, and not following Cody's city codes.
-The Conditional Use Permit wasn't signed or filed by the applicant within the 15-day limit, in accordance with City Code.
-The LDS withdrew its Special Exemption application for height once it was apparent that it wouldn't pass.
-The LDS assumes a site plan (which doesn't address building height) allows them to build at any height.
It's plain and simple: LDS leadership should follow the law, listen to the majority of Cody residents, and move the temple to a properly zoned and permitted location in Cody or anywhere in Park County. A temple relocation would resolve most of the division in our community and create a path of healing.

And here is Peterson's disingenuous take on the comments on the site:
There are more than a few participants at POCN who aren’t disingenuous at all, of course, whose derogatory, even nasty, comments about Latter-day Saint beliefs, history, and practices, and, yes, sometimes about Latter-day Saints as people, are overtly anti-Mormon. Some — not bothering with details about lighting or traffic or the height of the temple spire or the siting of the temple in a particular residential neighborhood — openly declare that the temple shouldn’t be permitted in Cody at all. One even announced that no temple should be allowed in the state of Wyoming.
He says "some," without reflecting the feel of the site. I didn't even bother looking for the comments-maybe there are a few, but Peterson doesn't have a reputation for honesty so there's no reason to even pay attention to his undocumented claims of slurs.
It seems I was correct, however, about the reason for his vindictiveness:
...Without any reason being given (though I can guess) and without any announcement, I was blocked from POCN at least two or three weeks ago. That’s their prerogative, of course, as long as they don’t pretend that they don’t do such things, or that POCN constitutes a representative sample of public opinion. I have plenty of things to do. Moreover, I have a platform here, and I’ve used it:...
At least that's a straightforward whine.

But this...
...I would like to know what it is about my “blog post” — as indicated above, I’ve actually written eight of them prior to today– that is “pretty awful.” I’m genuinely curious. I’ve taken, I think, a pretty moderate and reasonable position on the Cody matter, and would like to know where, if anywhere, I’ve gone wrong on it...
Seriously? I didn't think his
knowledge of manners was that limited. His manners? Yes.
