I wrote an article about the Mormon church's cover-up reported by the AP News.

Spread the word, everyone. Share the story (the AP news, doesn't need to be my article) with as many people as possible. Give this courageous woman Chelsea Goodrich back the justice she deserves. Let the church know that no matter how many NDAs they've asked people to sign, they CANNOT hide away.

Good article. The church at the top has embraced the modern world of law with it's first rule of Being: Deny, Deny, Deny.
Down the ladder, it's not so much deniability as it is utter belief that the Church is true, as you point out, therefore it can do no wrong. However, if it does do wrong, protecting the Church is still the only option, as it's the only connection the earth has to the Celestial realm.

What I've seen the most if something goes wrong, the go-to excuse they tell members is "It's for the benefit of the church," "It's for the growth of the kingdom of God," or "We need to see the bigger picture," and then "We need to exercise our faith." Yikes.
