It’s a mess. You would be excommunicated for being married to more than one living spouse. But the current President of the Church is sealed to more than one spouse (only one is living) and fully expects to live with both of them as a family unit forever in the eternities. How can something be worthy of excommunication, but simultaneously be something the President is actively doing?
Unless sealings and marriage are considered to be two different things? Plural marriage would be polygamy which is illegal and outdated in the LDS church. Is multiple sealings considered polygamous?
Plural marriage isn’t outdated in the LDS Church. It’s simply gone “underground” as it were. It’s only prohibited where more than one spouse is living. The President of the Church has entered into a plural marriage arrangement that he expects to last through the eternities.

This is an article that gives more context to this subject:

Polygamy lives on in LDS temples, spurring agony, angst and a key question: Who will be married to whom in heaven?
The agonized question came from a concerned Latter-day Saint woman considering eternal marriage to a widower: Would she have her own house in the hereafter or would she have to live with her husband and his first wife?

OK, If I click on the link, I get the 404 page. If I copy and paste the link into my browser, it goes to the article.

My head hurts.

It's worse than that. If I copy the link I posted from my post and paste it into my browser, I get the 404 page. If I click the edit button on my post and copy the link from the edit screen, I get the article.

My head hurts worse.

Okay. Figured it out:

See this: lds

I typed it in lower case letters. The autocorrect function (cough, cough, Boss) changed it to uppercase.

The link for the article ends with lds/. Except it's lower case. The autocorrect function breaks the link by changing the lowercase letters to uppercase.

Boss? How about we undo this one so we don't break links that include lowercase lds?

Done.

Done.
Thanks!
There is something kind of charming about having an insane autocorrect feature on a board that is evidently okey-dokey with a typo on its banner.
