LDS temple steeples- a member with more integrity than an area authority

Post by drumdude »

This is so heartwarming to see. An active member and believing Mormon called out an area authority for implying that steeple height was an important part of LDS religious practice.

This is a great example of integrity. I imagine he will be rewarded with a disciplinary “court of love” soon…

What? Are you saying steeple height isn't in the handbook?

The way Mormons are whinging on about these temples in residential areas, you’d be forgiven for thinking so!

The Church of Jesus Bullying Christ of Latter Day Saints.

NOTICE, its always in the very small, weak townships Mormonism gets away with this. Can you imagine how a city the size of Los Angeles or Chicago or Miami would react if Kirton "yeah we love suing your ass so we can get our way" McConkie threatened to sue them?!

Sounds like a PIMO guy. Good on him for taking that risk.

The Laie Hawaii Temple is 50 ft tall. It's a nice-looking building that isn't overbearing. Russel M. Nelson needs to get over himself. His nemesis GBH is dead. He needs to let this vendetta go.

Freud would have a field day with the question of why The Brethren are obsessed with having the biggest steeples in town…
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

The ongoing revelation part about steeple height is more comforting than thinking the building committee was pulling a fast one and making it up.

As the Mormon D&D board would point out, it is the members’ fault for not keeping up with revelations. This information has been available in strategy documents since 2024!!!
