What happens to the Honest Mormon?

The stakes near the proposed McKinney Temple in Texas were instructed to mention how the height of the temple steeple was essential to the LDS faith at the city planning and zoning meeting. I suspect the Church was trying to push this lie so the steeple height would be less of a stumbling block. The Church packed the meeting room and many Saints repeated this lie.

Finally, one lone LDS member stood and repudiated the lie. He said that the steeple height has nothing to do with his faith. He said he was disappointed in the Church and his stake president for pushing this lie.

I am very curious as to how the Church will punish this honest Mormon for telling the truth.

Moroni’s fallen instrument was made of macaroni,
so the local leadership could poke him in the ribs with it,
then tickle him into submission.

The brainwash continues. That one shall be given his reward, not monetary either I suspectify.... This is more fodder for reason to not trust Mormons of any stripe. Their brains are bred weak in church and they are used, a mere tool. The more intelligence ones are by far the more dangerous deceivers.

Check your spelling. And your gross generalizations and misrepresentations.

So Elder Rasband instructed the stake presidents in the McKinney Temple area to push this lie about the steeple height being a sacred obligation for the Saints?

That steeple height claim sounds like something I would come up with after one too many Cola Frees. Shades would demand to know if it was funny, and I could only shrug my shoulders after the aspartame buzz died down.

It was Elder Rascon.

No, it was the Area Authority who refuted the steeple thing, in an interview. Or I should say Ex-Area Authority, as I'm sure he is now.

The next step for the Church will be to have Kirton McConkie draft several lawsuits and present them to the City Council with the warning that they better capitulate or the law costs will bankrupt them.

Not even a joke, sadly, but a historical event.
