The undersigned Detective Jeff Smith - Unified Police Department, Agency Case No. 24-15643, upon a written declaration states on information and belief that the defendant, JOHN PARKINSON DEHLIN, committed the crime(s) of:

COUNT 1
STALKING - VIOLATION OF CIVIL STALKING INJUNCTION, 76-5-106.5(2)+(3AII), a Class A Misdemeanor, as follows: That on or about November 21, 2023, at Salt Lake County, the defendant did intentionally or knowingly engage in a course of conduct directed at a specific person and knew or should have known that the course of conduct would cause a reasonable person:
(b) violates:
(i) a stalking injunction issued under Title 78B, Chapter 7, Part 7, Civil Stalking Injunctions; or
(ii) a permanent criminal stalking injunction issued under Title 78B, Chapter 7, Part 9, Criminal
Stalking Injunctions


THIS INFORMATION IS BASED ON EVIDENCE OBTAINED FROM THE FOLLOWING WITNESSES:
Jeff Smith and Jennifer Kamp.


DECLARATION OF PROBABLE CAUSE:

Your Declarant bases the Information upon the following:

The statement of Officer Hudgens of the Unified Police Department that on or about February 20, 2024, they responded to a telephonic report of a Civil Stalking Injunction violation that occurred in Salt Lake County. Jennifer Kamp stated that she has a Civil Stalking Injunction against
the defendant, JOHN PARKINSON DEHLIN. Jennifer stated that on or about November 21, 2023, she received a phone call from DEHLIN. Jennifer answered the call and hung up after recognizing DEHLIN’s voice on the other end of the phone.

On February 17, 2023, the defendant was served with a Temporary Civil Stalking Injunction issued in the Third District Court under Court case number 230901037, listing DEHLIN as the respondent and Jennifer as the petitioner. The Stalking Injunction prohibits DEHLIN from directly or
indirectly communicating with Jennifer.

Pursuant to Utah Code Annotated § 78B-18a-106 (2018) I declare under criminal penalty of the State of Utah that the foregoing is true and correct to the best of my belief and knowledge.

Because Petitioner did not meet her burden of demonstrating that stalking of the
Petitioner by Respondent has occurred, the temporary civil stalking injunction issued on
February 14, 2023 is hereby REVOKED.

This is the order of the Court, and no further writing is necessary to effectuate
this decision.

So, we have Jenn Kamp and her ex-husband lying to the police that the Civil Stalking Injunction was still in place in November 21st of 2023, when they allegedly received a phone call from John Dehlin.

However, the Civil Stalking Injunction was terminated on 7th of March, 2023 by Judge Coral Sanchez.

Because Petitioner did not meet her burden of demonstrating that stalking of the
Petitioner by Respondent has occurred, the temporary civil stalking injunction issued on
February 14, 2023 is hereby REVOKED.

This is the order of the Court, and no further writing is necessary to effectuate
this decision.

At this point the whole thing is so stupid, it's almost unbelievable. It's almost like Jenn Kamp is being ghost represented by Rosebud. I've never seen such blatant dishonesty, insanity and incompetence.

Based on the irresponsible things Rosebud says here, like calling Jenn Kamp a bad-ass hero for standing up to being sued by Open Stories Foundation, and refusing to back down as though illegal behavior is somehow heroic, I wouldn't be surprised at all if she's actively encouraging Kamp to continue.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. If I had been representing Dehlin in any of this litigation, the first thing I would have done is subpoena Jenn/Rosebud's text messages from their cell phone carriers. I'm sure their texts would be very damning.

Jenn Kamp believes that text messages can be considered private and thus not subject to subpoena.
