Kish...I'm slowly watching all of your videos! I still have several to view, but I wanted you to know that I'm enjoying them
This one was interesting because I do remember much of the history of this board (however, not as far back as you and many others on here) and I did enjoy the discussions involving Peterson and other Mormon apologists.
I really did love the historical discussions, which was much more of my focus and many of these apologists were a big part of those discussions. They could get pretty lively too.
I don't post much here anymore, but I do pop in almost every day and still enjoy reading!

Thank you, Madison54! I am honored that you are watching these videos. I, too, feel the absence of the lively exchanges with apologists. While I still love this board, there was something especially engaging about having those exchanges right here.

An interesting episode, Reverend. In the future, I wonder if you might consider devoting an episode or two to discussing your epic "Chronology of Mopologetics" post / thread. There is a lot of material there, and I imagine that many in your audience would enjoy getting a nice overview like that.
"If, while hoping that everybody else will be honest and so forth, I can personally prosper through unethical and immoral acts without being detected and without risk, why should I not?." --Daniel Peterson, 6/4/14
I enjoyed listening to this while sipping coffee as well. I wonder if all criticism of DCP stopped over here, would he come over and create some? I think he relishes being able to claim his name is known for good and evil, just like a certain person claimed in the past. Why else talk about this supposed malevolent stalker and yet never do anything about it, never attempt to discover this person? Is this supposed stalker even real?
I get that there are other sides to him. I know some of Bill Hamblin's relatives and they liked DCP and said he was a jovial sort of guy and fun to be around. However, DCP does like playing the victim and seems to like the power it gives him with his followers.
It gives his followers a hero to follow as well. I mean Nelson? Nah!

Why thank you, Doctor! I am planning to do exactly that! Keep nudging me if it doesn’t happen soon.

Hey, Dr Exiled!
I am sorry I missed this wonderful reply earlier. I suspect if DM were not obsessing on DCP that he would be focusing his attention on other critics who might fill the same role. The precise content of the conflict would not be the same, but it would definitely perform a similar service for both sides. Thanks, by the way, for sharing that information about Hamblin. I, too, know from reliable sources that DCP can be a jovial sort of guy who is fun to be around.

No worries. Keep it coming.
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.
