In what ways?
While I respect your viewpoints and Jersey's also as Christians who see the world in terms of fairness and goodness in ways that are similar to my own, and perhaps you represent ways in which I would prefer Christians to be, you don't necessarily best represent what Christianity is today. And that's a good thing. 82% of white EVs voted Trump per Pew. It's only to yours and Jersey's eternal credit that you do not represent Christianity as it is today.huckelberry wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 5:04 amGadianton, Why on earth would you accept a chick comic as a good or valid presentation of Christian faith, hope, or ideals? I see as much the opposite.
What if they had porn shoulders (although eternal damnation on that point might be altered by the new garmies configuration)? Perhaps we need to think in terms of BPS and APS.

The reason why I think the Holy Joe tract is valid is because it was one of several that were literally given to me by either EV lay ministers or missionary-minded members both before and during my mission. The tract does make clear the point that I have gleaned from radio ministries also, that salvation comes through the salvation prayer and by no other means; being a good person or a bad person is irrelevant.
I think this tract is relevant to IWMP's discussions with her Christian friends. I think they should read the tract and discuss it as a group.
I read the comic strip. It was interesting. I don't understand why evangelists would think non Christians would read that in a positive light and think this makes me want to come to christ.Gadianton wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 1:52 amWhile I respect your viewpoints and Jersey's also as Christians who see the world in terms of fairness and goodness in ways that are similar to my own, and perhaps you represent ways in which I would prefer Christians to be, you don't necessarily best represent what Christianity is today. I was in a meeting today, I was told by my friend after the meeting that the person we met with asked her how she was preparing for the influx of people coming to church because of the second coming. Not Mormon. Not sure what type of Christian he was actually. Apparently more people are coming to church in general since COVID.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 8:38 amGadianton wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 1:52 am

Gad, the Bible hasn't changed. Society has changed.
