It seems that both Jasmin and Neal Rappleye no longer work with Scripture Central. Other people seem to have been let go as well.

Jasmin discussed her move away from SC a month ago at a new YouTube channel. It doesn't seem to have been voluntary:

ETA: It looks like Don Bradley used to have some sort of affiliation but no longer does. They seem to have lost a bunch of board members, likely they were donors.

As MG has shown us, A.I. is perfectly capable of defending the LDS church for free.

And it’s just as capable and effective as the human Mopologists. Since it’s such a low bar.

I think it's possible that the church decided to cut back on the paid staffers who defend it on the internet. They realized that members would do it for free.

Does anyone know how much of SC's budget comes from the church?

I was under the impression that Scripture Central was *the* biggest apologetic recipient of Church funding. Louis Midgley once slipped up on SeN and admitted that FAIR, Scripture Central, and Interpreter all get funds from the Church, but based on the publicly available tax information, Scripture Central is many leagues ahead of the others.

I am surprised that they parted ways with Jazmin Rappleye. That video you linked has over 11,000 views: she clearly has an audience. The struggling Interpreter Foundation could consider hiring her, except that they rely entirely on volunteers since the actual purpose of the organization is to support Daniel Peterson’s travel and leisure itinerary.

My guess is that perhaps they decided to reduce to only doctrinal discussions rather than contemporary issues and church defense, which is what JR does.

But many of the people who were producing written content were also let go, which suggests that perhaps there was a grant that was considered fulfilled and wasn't renewed. The exegesis content is obviously evergreen, and how much does COJCOLDS really need of that when it produces that stuff first party? Perhaps it was deemed expedient to focus on hazy history.

Looks like Scripture Central might eventually disappear through the attrition of age.

Has Scripture Central lost donors to Interpreter?

It doesn't seem that Interpreter got some big new donors. Surely Peterson would've crowed about it.

Many nonprofits are experiencing lower donations as the economy is slowing down under Trump. If your American company is heavily dependent on trade, this is a tough time.

But it may also be a matter of content. Perhaps they had grants to get started that weren't renewed.
