Which is more bigoted, chanting “F the Mormons”

Or using your trillion dollar religious enterprise as leverage to try and prevent gay people in the United States from getting married?
Maybe it’s just me, but telling your members to work at call centers around the clock, cold calling voters to try and limit the civil rights of non-Mormons is just a tiny bit worse.
And I don’t think the church has or ever will apologize for it.

Great point, Drumdude.
Considering the Savior's priorities, which is the greater sin, swearing at a Mormon or hoarding vast amounts of wealth that could alleviate the suffering of millions? There is no doubt which one the Savior would find obscene.

I suppose the first step is to sue the crowd under the Trademark legislation for unauthorised use of the Church's trademarked word. The second is to maybe hand out some leaflets requesting that, going forward, the crowd use the corrected terminology for members of the Church and chant "F the Saints" or "F the Latter-day Saints" in future.
Perhaps, at some point, the Brethren might sit down and prayerfully consider why people don't like them...
For what it's worth, it's a base and silly chant that will only gain traction the more people complain and report about it.

I think the Bretheren have made it clear why people don't like them. They have said Prophets are rarely popular but they speak the truth. They have said they have to speak out against accepted social norms when it violates God's laws. This is absorbed by the general membership and is probably the main reason Mormonism skyrocketed on the Pew study regarding negative attitudes towards religion.

Except when it comes to financial disclosure. And then they will lie and lie and coerce others into lying in order to avoid statutory reporting and to keep the truth from the membership.
It’s also worth noting that when a Prophet speaks a truth, it’s only true for as long as they are alive. Once they’re dead all bets are off. Nelson’s truth was that temple building needed to explode in numbers. Oak’s truth is the opposite, it needs slowing down. And fast.

I think Tim Kosinoff (lawyer who made a career suing the church for SA cases) explained this well. Someone asked him why the church almost consistently does the opposite even when their actions would benefit the church and raise their PR. He said that there is a culture that runs deep into the history and structure that abhors being told what to do.

John 15:18–19 “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

The scriptures suggest that hostility toward believers is not accidental but part of the pattern of discipleship: being “not of the world” provokes opposition.

Calling all criticism “the world hating Mormons” is a huge stretch—disagreement isn’t persecution.
It’s hard not to notice what just happened: the discussion went from discussing a specific inconsistency in your argument to persecution.
