Viewership for Episode 1 = 23K views
Viewership for Episode 2 = 5.2K views

There is just no way they are going to sustain interest in this project for--what, a year and a half??

Who wants to wager a guess as to the view count for Episode 3? Do you think it'll make it to 3K? 2.5K?
Episode 3 has 3.7K views, so that represents a rough decrease of ~1,500 views compared to Episode 2.

Oh, Doctor Scratch, you're pulling a Shulem -- you're talking to yourself!

By the way, I want to thank Dr. Peterson for his thoughtful response to my comments. I appreciate the good work he is doing in his efforts to balance our views of Brigham Young. I do think that there is a place for more positive accounts that remind us of events in his life many tend to overlook. Although I do not see these videos as unbiased, they remain valuable for the evidence-based interpretations of a more positive kind that they provide.
He also mentioned your comments during the recent fireside. Here is a link to the segment: https://youtu.be/OEPfJWrtdbk?si=qt6ZlrS ... C&t=15m54s. Transcript: https://cdn.interpreterfoundation.org/i ... script.pdf (see page 5).
The transcript seems to contain an error. I believe “He's now quite out of the church” should read “He's not quite out of the church.”

The prophet Brigham Young did not become controversial because he was simple. He became controversial because we stopped allowing complex people from the past to be understood as human beings.
Okay. So on that basis one could make an argument that demonising people like Adolf Hitler is wrong because we are confusing controversy for complexity. And that the Afore’s demonisation of Donald Trump is because he’s not allowing for The Donald being a complex person. What an absolute nonsense of an argument.

“Joe Stalin did not become controversial because he was simple. He became controversial because we stopped allowing complex people from the past to be understood as human beings.”

The other thing I’d note is that Brigham Young wasn’t just a human being. He was supposedly an inspired President of the Church taking guidance and instruction on his actions directly from God. On that basis he should be held to a higher standard, something the Afore is keen to downplay in his increasingly desperate attempt to spin out his sycophantic and self serving efforts into getting people to not think too badly about the tyrant Brigham Young. And he’s intending keeping this nonsense up for 18 months!
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Interesting. Would love to know how all this came about. It is true that I have not resigned, nor have I been ex’ed.

By “how all this came about” do you mean how he purports to know your membership status? Or something else?

Especially the mistake in transcription. Was it a mistake?

I would imagine the idea was that that your thinking as communicated has left the reservation. That does not imply any knowledge or assumption about actual membership status.

Oh, indeed. I can see that my approach to things shows a lack of deference to correct views and authority. I accept that as true. I don't go out of my way to encourage others to think likewise. Supposedly that is an important consideration, when leaders consider whether to pursue disciplinary action. My views are my own, and I do not seek to sway others in their testimonies. At the same time, I am completely unconcerned about signaling to others the right LDS views.

And I did it entirely at the expense of Redbrick Filmworks.
How kind of Redbrick Filmworks to produce Interpreter films pro-bono! A whole year’s worth! Talk about the Art of the Deal!
