Peterson forgets what his own Church Leaders taught…

In a staggering lack of self awareness the Afore opines as follows…
According to your Church Dan, attractive young women are expected to feel guilty for the catcalls that they sometimes receive when they walk past a construction site. Your Church would want the attractive young women to dress and groom in a fashion that wouldn’t lead those poor construction workers into the temptation of noticing them.
Has Peterson forgotten that his own Church Leaders have long blamed girls and how they dressed for boys bad behaviour? Here’s just one example…A few voices from the peanut gallery at the Deseret News suggest that Latter-day Saints need to search their own souls to find the reasons for such crowd behavior. However, while self-examination and reflection are never inappropriate, the suggestion seems to me rather like expecting attractive young women to feel guilty for the catcalls that they sometimes receive when they walk past a construction site, or — if we want to be really serious — holding Jews responsible for antisemitic attacks. They must have done something to bring this upon themselves, right?
Mark E Peterson“What tempts the boys to molest the girls today more than any other one thing… is the mode of dress of our girls — skirts above the knees, tight and revealing tops, and low-cut evening gowns. When such sights are placed before their eyes, almost like an invitation, can you blame them any more than you would [the girls who tempt them], if they take advantage of those girls?”
